History

Harrison External Display Systems is a major UK manufacturer and supplier of flags, flagpoles, banners and event branding display systems. The family firm is run by Managing Director, Adrian Harrison, having been founded by his father 40 years ago.

Since its foundation, Harrison External Display Systems has been the UK’s number one producer of glass fibre flag poles and currently supplies contracts across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and America. From its commercial headquarters in Darlington, the company operates an in-house design team, engineering department and large manufacturing and distribution facility. Since 1990, the firm has also operated from premises in Middle East and USA.

Harrisons offers its clients a complete external display system service, from initial consultation, creative designs, campaign planning, installation, maintenance and servicing.

To date, the company has provided display systems solutions to high profile events including Proms in the Park, Glastonbury, Tour de France, The World Cup and the London Marathon. Most recently, Harrisons manufactured bespoke flags and flagpoles for the Lord Mayor of London which were used to mark the arrival of the Olympic flag in the city, after their Beijing Games.
